Platte Woods Animal Hospital is proud to have been offering exceptional veterinary care to the Kansas City area since 1971. We are a small animal practice that treats many types of animals including but not limited to cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs.

Dr. Ronald Armstrong purchased Platte Woods Animal Hospital in 1993 and his son Dr. Tyler Armstrong joined the practice in May of 2015. We are exceptionally proud to be a family-run business that thinks of all our staff and clients as extended family. We make it our goal to treat your pet as if they were our own whether they are receiving medical care, boarding, or grooming.

We are a full-service animal hospital that is open 6 days a week. We take emergency cases during business hours and provide overnight hospitalization to those who need it. We also treat less urgent medical needs providing care in orthopedics, dental, reproductive, and general wellness among many other types of medicine.
