Here at Platte Woods Animal Hospital we will gladly care for your pets while your away. Each pet gets individual attention and dogs are exercised two-three times daily in our outdoor fenced-in play area. We provide air conditioned and heated individual units for your pet during their stay. And you can leave your pet with the confidence that all care is overseen by our veterinarians.
During their stay all pets are fed Hill’s Sensitive Skin and Stomach Foods or you are more than welcome to bring your own. We encourage all pet owners to bring their own food if your pet is on prescription or special diet. We also strongly recommend you bring all medications that your pet may be taking so that continued care can be given during their stay.
We do everything we can to provide your pet with a pleasant experience while they are away from home by providing them with blankets and comfortable beds to relax on. You are more than welcome to bring beds, toys, or anything else that you think your pet would enjoy while here. All we ask is that all personal property be clearly marked with your pets name.
All pets staying at the kennel are required to be up to date on vaccines and have a current Intestinal Parasite Check during the last year as well as be free of fleas and ticks. This is for the well being of all our guests during their stay. Please bring proof with you when checking in for your reservation if you are not a current client. We will be happy to get your pet up to date on vaccines while they are here but an exam fee may apply if our doctors haven’t seen them within a year. When possible we do recommend that vaccines be done 2 weeks prior to your pets stay.

Rabies Vaccine (1 or 3 year accepted)
DHLPP Vaccine within the last year
Bordetella Vaccine within the last 6 months
Intestinal Parasite Check within the last year
Influenza Vaccine
Cats are required to have the following vaccines/testing
Rabies Vaccine (1 or 3 year accepted)
FVRCP Vaccine within the last year
